About us

Tucked away at 1 Rue Saint-Hubert in Bordeaux’s Chartrons neighborhood, Maison Hubert offers the charm of a home designed for families of all sizes. With its five suites—each featuring two bedrooms, one or two bathrooms, and a living room for everyone to enjoy together—it’s the perfect place to stay in Bordeaux.

With a design aesthetic that blends raw materials (concrete, wood), bold colors, and pieces sourced from flea markets, each suite tells a story. Maison Hubert offers much more than just a place to stay: gourmet breakfasts included, concierge service, a baby kit for hassle-free travel (strollers, baby carriers, high chairs available free of charge…), daily housekeeping… A true pied-à-terre for discovering Bordeaux in a new light, Maison Hubert strikes a balance between warmth, bold design, and attentive service.

ROOMS

LODGES

The suites at Maison Hubert blend comfort with a modern country-house vibe. Each features its own color palette, vintage finds, and a selection of raw, natural materials such as wood and polished concrete. Spacious and bright, they all feature a coffee corner (Delonghi coffee machine, refrigerator, and Smeg kettle), a cozy living area, private bathrooms, and thoughtful details designed to make you feel at home. The two maxi suites even have their own terraces with breathtaking views of Bordeaux.

TO VISIT

The public garden for its beauty and tranquility. The Chartrons neighborhood and its antique street, Rue Notre Dame. The CAPC, the contemporary art museum, and its new kids-only area—and, of course, renting a bike from Véloce to ride along the riverbanks like a true local.

TO TASTE

We recommend lunch in the sun on the terrace at Bistrot Maurice, great meat and exceptional wines at Brutus, a 100% local and sustainable dinner at Casa Gaia, and a Sunday brunch at Les Halles de Bacalan where you can sample everything and spend the whole afternoon relaxing with the family!

TO SHOP

We recommend exploring every nook and cranny of Rue Notre Dame to hunt for treasures at the antique shops, but also to stop by the small boutiques featuring designer items and products made in France, such as Coutume Store or Do You Speak Français.

A word from our hosts

"We wanted to create the first guesthouse (truly) designed to welcome all families—whether by blood or by heart, those with grandparents and those with little ones. We wanted everyone to have their own cozy spot to sleep (really well) and spacious common areas to enjoy together. We wanted every family to be able to travel light and for groups of friends to gather here to create memories that will last a lifetime."

Lola - Hobo Club

In my opinion, Maison Hubert embodies the ideal bed-and-breakfast. Right in the heart of Bordeaux, you’ll find those little touches that make all the difference: the cannelé left at your door for an afternoon snack, the local recommendations shared by the hosts, and amenities thought out down to the smallest detail. Nothing is left to chance here; the experience far surpasses that of a hotel.
