About us

Located in the heart of Old Bordeaux, Maison Fernand is housed in a typical 18th-century bourgeois building, just a stone’s throw from Place Fernand-Lafargue in the Saint-Paul/Saint-Pierre neighborhood. Designed by the Hobo Club team, it blends authentic Bordeaux charm with contemporary design: delicate colors, elegant lighting, fine materials (wood, concrete, raw textiles), and personal touches inspired by memories that tell a story. Each room and suite is designed to offer comfort and character: air conditioning, private bathroom, desk, TV, Wi-Fi, and in some cases, a fireplace or views of the city. Breakfast is served in your room, in the shared kitchen, or on the rooftop, depending on the season. Maison Fernand also aims to be a creative hub, hosting collaborations, artistic events, and gatherings—a vibrant space as much as an elegant retreat.

ROOMS

LODGES

At Maison Fernand, two types of rooms await you: The suites (Rosa Bonheur & Philomène): spacious (approx. 45 sq. m.), blending floral tones, rich textures, and artistic touches. Rosa Bonheur even features a balcony where you can enjoy breakfast in the sun. The square-view rooms (Hey James & Oh Georges): more compact (≈ 19 m²), with a natural and colorful atmosphere reminiscent of cozy cocoons. They all feature a 160×200 cm double bed, a walk-in shower, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a work area, tea & coffee, and bathroom amenities.

TO VISIT

The city center is full of historic sites to visit. We recommend starting with the Grosse Cloche, then heading down to the riverbanks to admire the Garonne and its iconic landmarks, such as the Porte Cailhau, the Place de la Bourse and its reflecting pool, and the Place de Quinconces.

TO TASTE

The neighborhood is teeming with restaurants and hidden culinary gems!
Enjoy roast chicken for Sunday brunch at Poulette, have a glass of wine with some oysters at Complanterra, grab some tapas on a charming square at Merlot, savor a dinner with an old-world French vibe at Brasserie Maillard, and pick up a croissant to go at Bouloulam!

TO SHOP

The Maison Fernand neighborhood is nicknamed the "creators' quarter"!
Starting at the top of Rue St. James and heading down to the bottom of Rue du Pas St. Georges, you can wander through the narrow streets lined with designers' shops, thrift stores, and bookstores. Stop by Panache for a poster or a candle, and by Apache for some beautiful jewelry!

A word from our hosts

"Maison Fernand is our creative space; we’ve infused it with all our memories, our favorite things, and everything we love about the hotel industry and hospitality. We love a lively home, filled with the spirit of all the nationalities that come to discover our city, endless aperitifs on the terrace, and dinners that go on and on in the kitchen. Maison Fernand is truly us, right here at home :)"
