About us

Nestled in Lacanau, on the golf course, just a short walk from the ocean beaches and the wild lake, this spacious wooden house offers incredible views of the pine trees. It was designed as a cheerful retreat for groups of all kinds: large families, groups of friends, surfers, golfers, or yoga enthusiasts, as well as colleagues seeking peace and nature.

ROOMS

LODGES

Here, every room has been designed to accommodate today’s groups: families on vacation, lifelong friends, or teams attending a retreat. The four master bedrooms are all flexible: they can be configured with a queen-size bed or two single beds. Large windows, smart storage solutions, a warm, wood-paneled atmosphere… The two dorms reinvent the concept: designed to accommodate adults, teens, or children, each is equipped with comfortable bunk beds (Tediber mattresses). Here, you chat late into the night, laugh out loud, and create memories.

TO VISIT

On vacation in Lacanau, much of the trip is spent on a bike: it takes just five minutes to reach the lake that looks like it’s straight out of Canada, and seven to ride down the surf beaches that look like they’ve come straight out of a magazine. Everywhere, bike paths wind through the pine forest. The days fly by with wakeboarding, paddleboarding, kitesurfing, and long walks in the forest.

TO TASTE

The Sunrise, a family-friendly beach bar on the shores of the beautiful Lacanau Lake. The Rainbow Café, a small beach hut on Écureuil Beach reminiscent of the huts in Hossegour. Perfect for starting your evening drinks. The Good Karma: a small café serving matcha lattes, pink lattes… The pastries are amazing! Right next to North Beach.

A word from our hosts

"My goal throughout the project was to make sure this house had everything needed for perfect family getaways: 6 bedrooms and sleeping arrangements for 15, a large open kitchen where everyone can cook together, 4 living rooms to suit every mood, a large heated pool with a view of the pine trees, 3 terraces to enjoy every moment of the day… And of course, a pétanque court for long, leisurely aperitifs."

Annelsie

In Lacanau, nestled in the heart of the golf course and just minutes from the lake and the ocean, Le Grand Air is a home designed for the whole family. Kid- and adult-friendly, guests can enjoy beautiful bedrooms, a pool surrounded by pine trees, a mezzanine-cinema, and bright, airy spaces where everyone can find their own spot. A welcoming and well-kept retreat, perfect for getting together any time of year.
