Casa Yuma

A hotel retreat in Mexico
About us
Set on the wild beach of Los Naranjos, just minutes from Puerto Escondido, Casa Yuma is a 25-room hotel designed by interior architect Sara Skalli and her partners Camille Lambert and Tim de Belloy. Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the mountains of Oaxaca, this intimate retreat embodies simple, sincere hospitality, where nature sets the pace of your stay. Built using Chukum, a traditional plant-based concrete, the hotel blends seamlessly into its tropical surroundings. The spaces combine local craftsmanship, natural materials, and raw elegance, offering an experience that is both refined and deeply rooted in Mexican culture. A restaurant overlooking the sea, a swimming pool, surf lessons, yoga, massages, and mezcal tastings punctuate the rhythm of this peaceful retreat with your feet in the sand.

A word from our hosts
"Casa Yuma was born from the desire to create a simple, vibrant place, facing the sea and nature—a home overlooking the Pacific, open to nature and to others. Here, time slows down; we cook, we laugh, we swim, we come together. We wanted a place that is sincere, unpretentious, and full of life—where design doesn’t dominate but complements the beauty of the landscape. Every detail has been carefully considered to remind us of what truly matters: the warmth of a shared meal, the sound of the wind in the palm trees, the feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be. Casa Yuma is a refuge for the soul."
