About us
At the gateway to Anjou, on the border of Deux-Sèvres, lies Thouars—with its castle, medieval town, and ramparts—and perched atop those ramparts, a home: welcome to Au Petit Thouars.
A haven in the heart of the town, designed by Studio Conquérants. Alexandre and Guillaume invite you into their beloved home. After nine months of renovations, they’ve transformed their country home into a little gem to be savored to the rhythm of the sun, the pool, and dinners. The house is designed as a large family home open to all—everyone is welcome here. As trained stylists and designers, they’ve chosen every object and every color; the whole setting transports you out of time and invites you to unwind.

"Au Petit Thouars was born from the meeting of Alexandre and Guillaume 20 years ago on Rue Dupetit Thouars in Paris, and then from this couple’s encounter with this house in Thouars. Is it a coincidence or fate? They chose to see it as a sign—a sign of openness and sharing. Step into their unique world, where everyone is welcomed as if among friends and sharing comes naturally. A tried-and-true favorite that’s especially close to our hearts, since we’re here in the Deux-Sèvres region, the hometown of Marine, one of the founders of The Host. Alexandre and Guillaume welcome us into this charming bourgeois home, where the charm and soul remain intact. What we love: Enjoying breakfast on the terrace with a view of Thouars Castle. The decor, the vintage finds, the soul of the house! The table d’hôtes—and above all, the hosts!!
